Boldin to Eagles?
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
Several sources are suggesting the Eagles might be players in the trade market for the Cardinal’s Pro Bowl caliber receive Anquan Boldin.
Don’t hold your breath, Eagles fans. For some inexplicable reason, the Birds don’t like to trade draft picks, preferring to instead load up on future disappointments.
The only exception is if they can trade for a disappointment, like in the case of Lorenzo Booker.

Sanders: McNabb wants out
Filed Under McNabb, NFL, Philly fans | Leave a Comment
The NFL Networks biggest idiot continues to tell the world McNabb wants out of Philadelphia, despite admitting he has no sources to back him up.
Why? Because we here in Philadelphia treat him so badly. We booed him on draft day, remember? In case you didn’t realize it, every Eagles fan was there that day, not just WIP’s Dirty Thirty (who are, by the way, complete morons).
He also claims Philly is too tough on Donovan:
“Maybe it’s because they continuously doubt him when he’s taken them to four [actually five] NFC championship games. Maybe it’s because no matter what he does, it’s never enough. Maybe that’s the reason.”
No matter what he does it’s never enough? Hey Deion, a Superbowl win would be enough. How does a man as stupid as Sanders continue to hold a job on the NFL Network? That is the real mystery of the day.
Sanders also claims he doesn’t hate Philadelphia:
I don’t hate Philadelphia,” Sanders said. “I never said anything derogatory about Philadelphia
Really. Sanders had this to say after the Eagles Thanksgiving day win over Arizona:
“I can’t stand them. I really can’t. It’s not because I was a former Cowboy because I didn’t give a darn about any fans. They all hated me because I performed well,” Sanders said. “But they way they treated this man from Day One, it’s not justifiable. They will not treat any other quarterback in the NFL, like we said, Peyton Manning don’t get treated like that. Tom Brady. And I know you [McNabb] can’t say it, but I would really like on your behalf, you can take this…God bless you guys. … “
The NFL Network has to get rid of this idiot, don’ t they?

More unfounded Philly Hate
Filed Under NFL, Philly fans | 1 Comment
This guy might be the king of all jackasses.
Pittsburghlive.com has a story about a Steelers fan transplanted near Philadelphia. The guy (Darry Oliver) got free Super Bowl tickets from an Eagles fan who purchased them in hopes the Birds would reach Tampa. His way of saying thanks?
Do the chickenshit ESPN Philly fan rip
“They think they are the best fans in the world out here, but they are really the worst,”
So, according to Darry Oliver logic, being too cheap to buy Superbowl tickets makes you a better fan than shelling out the cash in hopes your team makes it. The guy who gifted him the tickets got slapped with an insult.
Here are some additional thoughts from Darry:
He said that because of the brash nature of Eagles fans, he had been hoping the Steelers would meet the Philadelphia team in the Super Bowl.
Had that happened, though, he probably wouldn’t be going to Tampa.
“I think I can deal with the disappointment of the Eagles not getting there,” he said with a laugh.
And when he gets home from Tampa on Monday, he can tell all those disappointed Eagles fans about his trip.
Remember, he is the superior fan. To recap, Darry is too cheap to buy tickets for his beloved Steelers in the Super Bowl. Darry gets FREE tickets from an Eagles fan. Darry rips and mocks Eagles fan.
What a tool. I wish they had given the name of the guy who gifted the tickets. I would contact him myself and ask him to rescind.
Now I hope the Steelers lose.

All or nothing for Eagles
Filed Under Coaching Candidates, Eagles, McNabb, NFL, Reid | Leave a Comment
I have read a lot since the Eagles loss to the Cardinals about how Eagles fans should be happy about 5 championship appearances, being competitive, etc.
Guess what? No we shouldn’t.
Let me ask you this, if you could trade last year’s World Series win by the Phillies for 3 guaranteed years in the playoffs - but no World Series - would you do it?
NO FREAKING WAY!
I am tired of being told to be glad we aren’t the Detroit Lions. Guess what, the Lions have won as many Superbowls as we have. Who’s to say in the next 5 years that wont win it all?
I will gladly take a real shot at winning a Super Bowl (which would require moving on from Reid and McNabb) if it means a few years of struggling. As long as the team is building in those years, it’s ok with me.
No one remembers the runner up. We wont be sitting in our recliners 20 years from now reminiscing about the years we were above average.
Push all your chips in and try to win it all. Bring in Jon Gruden next year to get this team over the hump.

More after affect of terrible Eagle’s fans
Filed Under Eagles, NFL, Philly fans | Leave a Comment
IF you listed to ESPN, you would think Philly fans are the worst in professional sports.
Facts, damn them, tell us otherwise.
I found this article in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. In short, Super Bowl ticket prices have plummeted since the Eagles were eliminated Sunday.
According the the author:
Two weeks ago, Mr. Mark said, Super Bowl tickets were listing at an average of $5,000 apiece. Many of those tickets were being sought by overly optimistic fans of the Philadelphia Eagles, who were eliminated Sunday.
“But when Arizona got in, the costs dropped,” he said. “Now we’re seeing $1,640, $1,600 and $1,540. It might be worthwhile to wait until early next week, where it might bottom out at $1,400. But I wouldn’t wait much longer, because the best seats start to go.”
So I guess the huge demand from Eagles fans, who are otherwise the scum of humanity, had prices around $5K. Those great Cardinals fans, it appears, aren’t as loyal.
The problem isn’t the Steelers, said Russell Lindmark, owner of ticketsolutions.com. It’s the Cardinals.
and the article goes on to conclude:
“Once the Eagles were eliminated, the price went straight down,” said Mr. Vaccaro. “And it’s still continuing down.”
Just imagine if we weren’t so terrible.

Another ignorant writer, another shot at Philly.
Allen Wilson, in a commentary for The Buffalo News, has decided that the Eagles should liberate McNabb because “McNabb is too good for Philly.”
Genius bases his opinion on this:
Then came Sunday’s NFC Championship Game. A reporter friend from Philadelphia told me afterward that McNabb would take most of the heat for the loss to the Arizona Cardinals. It was the fourth time McNabb came up short in five trips to the conference final.
Idiot makes the assumption that Eagle’s fans are blaming McNabb — and only McNabb - for Sunday’s loss. He fails to mention the several under, over, and poorly throw balls that clearly cost the Eagles points.
Wilson, after suggesting the Eagles may let McNabb go rather than redo his contract, concludes:
Some Eagles fans would like that. So would I. McNabb has never been treated with enough respect in Philadelphia anyway, so he should leave.
Allen Wilson should pull his head out of his arse and come pay us a visit here in Philadelphia. Instead, this “Journalist” simply reacts to comments he hears in passing from friends, and the continued Philly bashing on ESPN and Fox.

I found this news report on YouTube.
Looks like the vandals are real bright - one of them left his name and address on the cardboard box at the scene
Once again, no mention of how awful Arizona fans are. Just a couple of crazy kids…

More hate for Philly fans…
Filed Under Eagles, NFL, NFL Draft, Reid | Leave a Comment
while other fan behavior ignored.
ESPN, Fox, and The NFL Network are in unison trying to convince the world how rotten Philadelphia fans are. Just moments ago, the NFL network dragged out the old “Philly fans booed McNabb at the draft”. The analyst also mentioned that McNabb was benched this year… then suggested McNabb should not want to take that from the fan base.
Hey jackass, the fans didn’t bench him.
While the NFL’s 3 networks continue to bash Philly with empty and cliched commentary, Arizona fans pretty much attacked McNabb’s Arizona area home last night. From Yahoo Sports!
What was going through the mind of the misguided juveniles who used gasoline to desecrate the front lawn of the house in Chandler, Ariz., where his wife, Roxie, live with their children over the off season. According to a friend of Mrs. ’s, “Go Cards” and other similar messages were burned into the front lawn one night last week. This had to be especially scary to the couple’s four-year-old daughter, Alexis, who was staying in the house with Roxie and the couple’s six-week-old twins. Apparently one of the culprits was identified after leaving a box at the scene with a mailing label affixed bearing his name and address, so we’re obviously not talking about criminal masterminds here. But it’s tough to imagine that anyone over the age of eight doesn’t understand that burning something on the lawn of a house occupied by African-Americans carries deeper social overtones that are highly disturbing. I’m told Donovan took a photo of the damaged lawn and used it as a motivating force for Sunday’s game. I hope it’s the last time he or any other professional athlete ever has that opportunity.
When 30 Philadelphians boo McNabb at the draft, we have to hear how “Philadelphia” booed McNabb on draft day. When Arizonians burn messages into McNabb’s yard, it is just a few “misguided juveniles.”
Could you imagine if that had happened in Philadelphia? No doubt every network would have picked it up, but I doubt the perpetrators would have been described as “misguided juveniles.”
Maybe the NFL should pull out of Philadelphia all together. I for one am considering dropping them.

Cleveland Browns’ fans cheered QB injury
Filed Under Eagles, NFL | Leave a Comment
What if this had been Philadelphia?
Derek Anderson, the embattled starting QB for the Cleveland Browns, suffered a knee injury yesterday during their loss to the Colts yesterday.
According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer
You probably didn’t hear much about this last night or today in the media. I guess ESPN, THE NFL Network and FOX only has a hard on for Philadelphia fans.
On Thanksgiving, Deion Sanders took a break from celebrating himself to tell us here in Philly we are idiots — and this in response to fans cheering McNabb
Donovan McNabb arrived at the NFL Network’s set at the Linc for a post-game interview. Many fans stayed in the stands to applaud McNabb, who threw four touchdowns in the victory.
As fans chanted McNabb’s name, Sanders interrupted.
“Can I tell them something for you?” he said. “First of all, I would like to tell all these idiotic fans to shut-up. Don’t get on his bandwagon now. You’re the same guys who booed him on his first incompletion.”
Host Rich Eisen then asked Sanders what he thought of the Philly fans.
So let me get this straight, cheering for an embattled QB makes you an idiot, while booing an injured QB gets you a pass.
Hey Deion, Brady and Manning have both won Superbowls. And don’t you ever call anyone a bandwagon jumper. You made a career of getting yourself on the best teams, then pretending you helped them in their achievements.

Atkins to Phillies?
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
The MLB rumor mill is starting to swirl, and the first Phillies nugget is the prospect of Colorado Rockie’s 3rd baseman Garrett Atkins coming to the Phillies in exchange for AJ Happ.
Atkins is one of those guys the experts gush over, but would he really help the Phillies?
He hit 286 last year with 21 Home Runs and 99 RBI. That would be a considerable upgrade at third base, but is it what the Phillies need? Do you want to give up AJ Happ? Young pitching prosects are hard to come by, and while I love Jamie Moyer, he won’t be able to pitch forever.
Assuming the Phillies have limited resources, I would rather see them either keep Burrell (I can’t believe I am saying that) or upgrade LF with a solid right handed bat.
And every team needs pitching.
